The spaces for children and teenagers, on the ground floor of the villa, have the name and the features of the Gianni Rodari Library and continue its experience. All the area is greatly characterized and offers to the youngest users appropriate way of access and fruition of the different existent materials, expecting also the condition of a free and informal use of the material also for activities of animation of the book. This area includes also a space of entrance destinated to the window of the newnesses with bibliography proposals also for parents and educators.
The children Space is distributed in two rooms.
The first room offers book materials like illustrated Registers and stories, Fairy tales and fables, the first books of divulgation and for learning. All these materials, available also for the loan, have free access in containers of different way and in low shelves divided for type. A part of the story offers a small zone of "protected" reading and of relation between children and adhults.
The second room is constituted by the Space for the animation of the reading, with a platform on more levels with informal sittings, tables with different forms and heights and also equipments as support of the nimated reading and small shows:headlight, television, possibility of listening, music. The book materials - that include play books, animated books, pasteboard registers - all available for the loan, are collocated in different containers and low shelves.
The sittings in the two rooms are 34 in all.
