Catalogo dei DVD disponibili (aggiornato a novembre 2018) (596.65 KB).The Multimedia space of the library is situated at the ground floor, near to the reception and the Internet Points. It offers the availability to the loan of film, cartoons, documentaries, video of theatre and music performances in VHS and DVD, anf of classic and contemporary music in CD.
The space collects a great offer of films in VHS: cult movies, for living again exciting moments of the story of the italian and international cinema, watching again o discovering for the first time the masterpieces of the neorealism and of the italian comedy, of the american cinema '70's or the winner works of prestigious film festival. This property is integrated and enriched with the acquisition of DVD films, selected in conformity with standards of artistic quality and satisfaction of the audience. The choise of the new titles considers two needs: to fill the more evident lacks among the "great classics" of the cinema and contemporaneously to put to disposition of the users also good films of recent production.
For the lovers of the nature and the animals, the Multimedia space offers then fascinating documentaries of scientific divulgation, to discover the natural beautifuls of far lands and know the secrets and curiosities of the animal world. There are also funny films of animation for children and teenagers that, as the film for adults, will be soon integrated with new titles.
There are also in the catalogue, the "type books", that are the paper pubblications with multimedia materials, like films or registrations of theatre performances, concerts, interviews, that accompany the pleasure of the reading with sounds, images, scenic realizations.
The last of the loan of the multimedia materials is of seven days, for a maximum of three titles: this to guarantee the major possible fruition of the works in catalogue. In lack of requests by others users, the loan can be protracted for others seven days.
The realization of the Multimedia space is in the ambit of the project "Mediateca 2000" coordinated by the Comune of Florence and is financed by provided regional contribute.
