The volume is the result of the relationship between the Comune and the Section Soci Coop of Campi Bisenzio, that have producted the Centres of documentation and orientation at the consumptions, active in Campi Bisenzio and in Empoli, that are promotors of formative and editorial initiatives. In this context in 1994 there was in Campi a cycle of meetings entitled "Una fame da leggere" thanks to Vinicio Ongini, and the homonymous book collects the reports of the conferences and the intervenations, revised for the occasion by the authors. In the volume are beside contained new critical and bibliographic contributs, like the three bibliographies in appendix thanks to the editorial staff of Liber: Fame di fiabe, Lupus in tabula and Al Ristorante della Letteratura per l'infanzia.
