He was born in Florence on 13th March 1962, and after taking a degree in law, he practices law from 1993. Elected to the town Council in the rolls of the "Democrazia Cristiana" party in 1990, he has then joined to the Popolar Party and has been then named as one of the members of the local government by the Mayor Chini in 1999. After the birth of the "Margherita" party, he has been elected to the town Council in 2004 again and he has been named as one of the members of the local government by the Mayor Fiorella Alunni with the following delegations: Economic Development, Trade and Tourism, Chemists. Married, he has two daughters, he loves travelling and practises swimming, trekking and cycling and he is very fond of football and a supporter of the "Fiorentina" football team. On 25th October 2006 he has been appointed Vice Mayor.
