Interest Comune Project

The higher interest is that one of everybody: know and prevent the phenomenon of the usury and educate the community to a responsable use of the money

Interest Comune Project is a project of the Social Macramè Cooperative for the promotion of the culture of the democratic legality.

The intervention, that makes use of the regional contribution, is realized by the cooperative in collaboration with different partners: the Economic Development Departments and the Educational Policies Departments of the Comune of Campi Bisenzio, Libera Toscana, the High School specializing in science education"Agnoletti" of Campi Bisenzio, Cna, Confcommercio, Confesercenti and consortium Fare Centro Insieme, Banca Intesa San Paolo of Campi Bisenzio and Camera of Commercio of Florence.

During the last school year some classes of the territory have analysed the topic of the legality thanks to the project Senza Resto realized by our cooperative. Particular attention has been focused on the responsable use of the money. Many times the necessity of opening a comparison between the young people of the territory and the economic system of the area has emerged to discuss about some crucial matters, on which the young people wonder about for long time: the peace, the legality, the human rights, the active citizenship.

The main purpose of the project is that one of the promotion of the legality born by the exigency of proposing a targeted way that can answer effectively to the following aims:

For the direct recipients (students of two classes of the High School specialized in science education "Agnoletti"of Campi Bisenzio):

to get knowledges linked to the Rights, to the instruments for the care and the defence of the same ones;
to get instruments and knowledges useful to prevent phenomena of illegality like the usury;
to get knowledges of the firm system;
to deepen the knowledge of the economic system of reference;
to get competences to repropose such themes in formal and informal contexts;
to experience materials and instruments elaborated at national and international level by the associations that are involved in legality and readapted at the local context;
to establish a positive link around the topic of the legality between young people and adults of the territory.

For the indirect recipients (teachers, school, economic system, local community):

can profit by innovative educational and quality ways;
can integrate traditional formative ways with present and necessary subjects in this historical period;
to integrate the formal and informal systems;
to establish a positive dialogue with the young people, future entrepreneurs;
to work with young people to let a community grow around the topic of the legality.

The way has seen its start at the High School spcialized in science education "Agnoletti"during November 2006 with a first cycle of meetings thanks to our Cooperative on the subjects of the rights, rules and active citizenship. Then others followed:on 12th January there has been the meeting with the Libera Association on the phenomenon of the usury and on 8th February with the associations of category on the subjects:how does a trade activity work? and The economic net of the territory of Campi Bisenzio. The next 2nd March there wiil be the representatives of Banca Intesa San Paolo and of the Camera of Commercio that will face the subjects of the credit system and the "legal" models of the access to the credit: which opportunities and which attentions for young people?

On March it is also expected an outing of the young people who, accompanied by the tutor of the cooperative, will go and interview some entrepreneurs of the trade sector, handicraft of service and of public exercises. The way will go on with a work done by the classes involved in the project with a final elaborate of the improvement on the discussed subjects,that will have a public presentation in May.
